What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front of House: Bartenders position at Black Oak?
The Black Oak Public House is a new food, spirits, and live music venue opening in Wooster, Ohio. We're looking for outgoing, dependable Bartenders to help us deliver a great guest experience from opening day, across our dining room and patio.
What you'll do:
- Bartenders: craft cocktails, pour beer and wine, and run an efficient, welcoming bar during service and live music nights
- Provide friendly, attentive service that keeps guests coming back
- Work as part of a team with the kitchen and bar to keep service running smoothly
- Handle payments accurately and follow responsible alcohol service practices
What we're looking for:
- Prior serving or bartending experience preferred
- Strong communication and people skills
- Ability to stay composed and organized during busy shifts
- Must be of legal age to serve alcohol; TIPS/responsible alcohol service certification a plus (or willingness to obtain one)
- Availability to include evenings, weekends, and some holidays
