Warehouse Clerk

SUMMARY:   Responsible for receiving shipments at the warehouse/Casino dock facility and ensures proper placement of all items in the Casino storage facilities.  Ensures that supplies are properly stored in the Casino storage areas.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties: (Specific areas of responsibility including, but not limited to)

•  Monitors and reviews inventory levels by physical count, record keeping and/or visual inspection.
• Inspects and verifies deliveries and reconciles invoices against purchase orders, checking cost and quantities.
• Initiates paperwork to close out purchase orders and forwards them to proper departments.
• Follows up on deliveries to ensure they are properly stored or dispensed.
• Maintains requisitions or orders manually or in automated system to track status of purchases and compile reports.
• Assists in maintaining records of prices, quality, quantity, and delivery dates.
• Assists in maintaining perpetual inventory of all inventory items stored in areas under warehouse responsibility.
• Stores inventory appropriately and according to established requirements.
• Ensures that supplies are properly delivered to appropriate areas and departments or entities of the Tribe.
• Maintains records of transfers of distribution to points of sales and forwards documentation to proper departments daily.
• Operates forklift to load or unload material to or from delivery vehicles.
• Provides courteous service and is cordial to Team Members and Guests.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Mandatory Requirements:  

• Must possess a High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent.  
• Must have knowledge of inventory or store-keeping principles and practices.
• Must have knowledge of general warehouse procedures associated with shipping and receiving preferred.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a Black Oak Casino driver’s permit for vehicles and forklifts.
• Must be able to communicate using 2-way radios and/or cell phones.
• Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Must have working knowledge of computer programs and applications, including MS Office.
• Must have good organizational skills.
• Must be able to obtain a valid gaming license.
• Must be able to pass a mandatory drug test.
• Must provide evidence of employment eligibility in the U.S.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must be able to communicate proficiently in English.

Physical Demands:

• Must be physically able to perform all job requirements.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and occasionally more with assistance.
• Required to work at heights such as on scaffolding, ladders or platforms.
• Required to work around moving machinery with possible exposure to vibration, dust, gas, fumes, steam or chemicals.
• Required to wear protective equipment such as mask, earplugs, gloves, eyewear, weather gear, etc.

Work Environment:

• Must be able to work in a non-smoke free environment.
• Must be able to work in a noisy environment.
• Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions
• Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays, and special events
