We are seeking an energetic and dynamic Ski School Director to lead and manage our ski instruction programs at our mountain. This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of the ski school operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and fostering a motivated, professional team of instructors. As the face of our snow sports programming, you will drive excellence in service delivery while maintaining operational efficiency and safety standards.
Duties
- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of ski school programs to deliver outstanding guest experiences.
- Supervise and mentor ski instructors and staff, ensuring high standards of teaching quality, safety, and customer service.
- Manage daily operations including shift scheduling, staff assignments, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency.
- Collaborate with other departments such as ticketing, operations, rentals and marketing to coordinate a seamless guest experience.
- Prepare detailed reports on program performance, staffing needs, guest feedback, and operational metrics for senior management review.
Skills
- Experience in snow sports.
- Excellent leadership abilities with experience supervising diverse teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Google Docs for report writing, scheduling, and communication tasks.
- Skills in operational management including shift management and resource planning.
- Customer service expertise with a focus on delivering memorable guest experiences in hospitality or resort settings.
- Technical proficiency related to resort operations including safety protocols.
- First aid and CPR certification to ensure safety standards are upheld at all times.
- Effective managerial communication skills to coordinate teams across departments and communicate policies clearly.
- Experience with restaurant or hospitality operations is advantageous for understanding guest needs holistically.
