Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled CT Technologist to join our dynamic medical imaging team. In this vital role, you will operate advanced computed tomography (CT) scanners to produce detailed cross-sectional images of patients’ internal structures, supporting accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Your expertise in radiologic imaging, radiation safety procedures, and patient care will ensure high-quality imaging services in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work within a comprehensive radiology department that emphasizes precision, safety, and compassionate patient interactions.CT Technologists Perform diagnostic and therapeutic computed tomography procedures. They assist in direct patient care under the direction of the Radiologist. Must be able to work weekends, variable shifts, holidays and call. Under general supervision, and following established procedures and policies, adjusts and operates diagnostic CT equipment to produce diagnostic images of designated portions of the body to meet the national standard for dose reduction. Duties

• Operate CT scanners and associated radiologic imaging equipment to capture high-resolution images for diagnostic evaluation.
• Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their comfort throughout the exam.
• Implement radiation safety protocols diligently to protect patients, staff, and yourself from unnecessary exposure during all imaging procedures.
• Assist with specialized imaging techniques such as PET scans, fluoroscopy, interventional radiology procedures, mammography, DEXA scans, and nuclear medicine studies.
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams to ensure accurate image acquisition and timely delivery of diagnostic results.
• Maintain detailed documentation of procedures performed, patient information, and equipment calibration records in compliance with hospital policies.
• Monitor equipment functionality regularly and report any malfunctions promptly to ensure continuous operation of radiologic services.

Requirements

• Certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT or equivalent) with specialized training in CT imaging.
• Proven experience operating radiologic imaging equipment including CT scanners, X-ray machines, fluoroscopy units, and nuclear medicine devices.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and diagnostic radiology principles essential for accurate image acquisition.
• Experience working in urgent care settings or emergency room environments is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with interventional radiography techniques and Level I or Level II trauma center experience is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of radiation safety procedures and implementing radiation safety protocols effectively.
• Ability to provide excellent patient care while maintaining professionalism in high-pressure situations involving emergency medicine or trauma cases.
• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or Completion of Accredited Hospital Program (RTR)Registered Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist.
• (ARRT)CT Certified or Certified within 18 month orientation period.
• Current License as a Radiographer in the state of WisconsinCurrent.
• CPR certification or be eligible to complete within three months of hire.
• Knowledge of day-to-day operations of a medical imaging department within a hospital setting.
• Patient care and effective communication and interpersonal skillsKnowledge of human resources policies and procedures.
• Competence in the care and service to our patients and customers of all ages
• Knowledge of standard precautions and associated techniques.
• Patient and clinician safety measures (e.g. proper body mechanics, safe patient movement, isolation, etc.) used during provision of patient care.

Pay: $2,884.54 - $3,473.86 per week
