What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager of Operations position at Black Lives Matter Paterson?
The Paterson Compassionate Care Collaborative (PCCC), housed under Black Lives Matter Paterson, is building toward the launch of an unarmed, non-police response and community-building program. The program aims to:
- Respond to conflict and crisis through care-centered, non-punitive interventions
- Equip community members with conflict-prevention and skill-building tools
- Identify and advocate for structural changes that reduce harm and prevent interactions with police and carceral systems
To support this work, we are hiring a Manager of Operations to run the day-to-day operational functions of PCCC, strengthening internal systems, supporting financial administration, coordinating communications, and ensuring smooth collaboration with Paterson Healing Collective and other community-based partners.

Working closely with the Executive Director of BLM Paterson and other sub grantees this role builds the systems that hold the program together. The ideal candidate is a systems-thinker, highly organized, committed to transformative justice, and energized by building something new with community at the center.
