POSITION SUMMARY
The Paint Technician is responsible for paint application to fabricated items.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prep all painted surfaces so that the paint can adhere to the metal surface
- Apply paint to customer specifications, paying close attention to application technique so that paint does not run or pool
- Clean and maintain paint equipment
- A willingness to cross train and assist in other shop functions as needed

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
COMPETENCIES
- Ability to use paint sprayer in a clean and orderly fashion
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year plus in a paint facility
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift 50lbs frequently
- Prolonged, extensive, or considerable standing/walking/sitting
- Manual dexterity and mobility
- Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching
- Visual and auditory acuity
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Fabrication shop
- Manual work
- 3pm - 12am, M-Th.
