Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications
- Cook a variety of menu items efficiently while maintaining high standards for taste and presentation
- Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures at all times
- Assist with meal preparation for catering events or special functions as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, ensuring compliance with sanitation standards
- Support kitchen team members during busy service periods to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Help with inventory management by rotating stock and notifying supervisors of supply needs
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a food service environment, including restaurant or catering settings, is required
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in basic cooking techniques such as sautéing, grilling, and baking
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling practices
- Experience with menu planning and food preparation processes
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen while maintaining attention to detail
