Vascular Sonographer or Dual-trained Cardiac and Vascular Sonographer
Black Hills Heart & Vascular Institute
Scan on the best equipment in the region, for physicians who know your name and value your read.
Black Hills Heart & Vascular Institute is an independent, physician-owned heart and vascular practice. Our decisions are made by the cardiologists and vascular specialists who see our patients — not by administrators or private-equity boards. That means faster answers, real input into how the lab runs, and a team that treats sonographers as essential clinical partners.
We care for our community with comprehensive cardiovascular services, from routine echocardiograms to complex vascular studies, delivered with the personal attention only an independent practice can offer.
The Role
We're looking for a skilled Cardiac and Vascular Sonographer who takes pride in image quality and patient care. You'll perform a wide range of echocardiographic and vascular studies in a modern, well-equipped outpatient lab, working side by side with our interpreting physicians. Your images drive clinical decisions here, and your expertise will be heard.
What You'll Do
Vascular

- Conduct venous reflux and DVT evaluations, ABIs and physiologic testing
Cardiac

- Perform stress echocardiograms (exercise and pharmacologic) alongside the physician team
- Use advanced techniques such as strain imaging, 3D echo and contrast (enhancing agent) studies
- Assist with transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE) as needed
Every Day
- Deliver warm, clear communication that puts patients at ease
- Prepare accurate preliminary findings and flag critical results to physicians promptly
- Maintain equipment, follow lab protocols, and support accreditation and quality programs
Top-Tier Equipment
Great images start with great tools.
