Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part-Time Kennel Technician to join our team. As a Kennel Technician, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and support to our furry guests. This is a physically demanding role that requires heavy lifting and hands-on animal handling. Duties:
- Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and play areas
- Feed and provide fresh water to animals
- Administer medications as directed by veterinary staff
- Exercise and socialize animals through playtime
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals
- Assist with grooming tasks such as bathing and brushing
- Maintain accurate records of animal care and behavior
- Provide exceptional customer service to pet owners
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a kennel or animal care setting is preferred, but we are willing to train
- Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments
- Knowledge of basic animal care and behavior is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime
