This is not a sit-in-the-office GM role.
We are looking for a hands on operator who leads from the floor, owns the guest experience, and enforces standards without compromise.
At Black Hawk Brewery, we are building something special, a high energy, service driven brewery and restaurant where execution matters. We need a General Manager who treats this like their business.
What You’ll Own
Guest Experience – Non-Negotiable
- Every guest greeted quickly and genuinely
- Tables touched consistently by management
- Refills handled proactively (before guests ask)
- Food timing executed with urgency and precision
- Zero tolerance for service breakdowns
Service Standards & SOP Enforcement
- Enforce systems like:
- Immediate greeting standards
- Pre-bussing every table
- Appetizers hit the table immediately after being fired in POS
- No shortcuts. No excuses. You hold the line.
Floor Leadership
- You are on the floor during peak hours—leading, coaching, correcting in real time
- Build a culture of urgency, accountability, and pride
- Develop shift managers and hold them to the same standard
Operations & Execution
- Run clean shifts with strong communication between FOH/BOH
- Control labor without sacrificing service
- Ensure consistency in every guest interaction
- Ensure proper onboaring and training for new team members, NO shortcuts
Team Development
- Hire, train, and retain strong staff
- Eliminate toxicity, drama, and low performers quickly
- Build a team that executes at a high level every shift
What We’re Looking For
- Proven GM or high-level manager in a high-volume restaurant or brewery
- Relentless attention to detail in service execution
- Not afraid to hold people accountable
- Strong leadership presence, people follow you because you lead, not because of your title
- Systems driven mindset (you believe great service is built through process)
- Comfortable being on your feet and in the middle of the action
