Black Diamond Mergers & Acquisitions is a team of professional business intermediaries who help people buy and sell businesses. Black Diamond is looking to add an M & A Associate to its Fayetteville, Arkansas office.
Description
The M & A Associate works directly with the local M & A leader who is responsible for managing the transaction process and leading clients through the process of buying or selling businesses. The M & A Associate may also be asked to assist other Black Diamond team members on various aspects of any given transaction, depending on capacity constraints.
The M & A Associate gathers important information regarding risks and opportunities for M & A activities, translating this information into fact-based and well-reasoned insights on the valuation and structural impact of the deal.
This position requires interaction with both internal and external stakeholders. The M & A Associate is responsible for ensuring that internal M & A processes and standards are followed.
A good financial/banking knowledge and the ability to creatively manage diverse client needs while simultaneously managing multiple priorities and projects with strong organizational skills is required. The M & A Associate performs research and analysis, being highly skilled in efficiently analyzing large data quantities while driving financial modeling and due diligence.
The M & A Associate collaborates with M & A Leaders in the client business development department aiding in the execution of M & A transactions as well as delivering well communicated, balanced, and comprehensive analyses for each stage of the merger and acquisition transactions for the business’s executives and key stakeholder(s).
Specifically, the M & A Associate’s role is responsible for:
· Production of CIM (Confidential Information Memorandum) and other Presentation Materials
· Production of Financial Spreads, Pro Forma Models, and other Financial Analyses
· List Generation
· Deal Outreach Correspondence and Organization
· Weekly Deal Progress Reports
· Data Room Management
· Bidder Discussions
· Q & A Process Management
· Due Diligence Process Management
· Client Interactions
This person must be proficient in the use of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, necessary for the creation of visually and verbally engaging reports and presentations for the business’ executives, stakeholders, and collaborating personnel.
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree – new graduates will be considered
· Project management skills to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously and/or long-term projects
· Facilitation and communication skills to engage cross-functional and cross-border teams
· Strong presentation skills with the ability to sell ideas across various audiences
· Savvy in financial modeling, data analysis and problem-solving
· Strong business acumen and structured thinking
· Proficient in the use of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, CRM
Salary
$40,000 Base salary plus uncapped commission. 401K available along with paid time off.
Travel
Some travel may be required for clients.
