Reports To: Foreman
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and reliable Line Striper to join our team. As a Line Striper, you will be responsible for applying paint to various surfaces which include parking lots and other asphalt areas, to create precise traffic lines, markings, and symbols. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and experience working with line striping equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Line Application: Operate striping equipment to apply paint to match new or existing layouts.
- Surface Preparation: Ensure surfaces are clean and free of debris, dirt, or oil before applying line stripes to ensure proper adhesion.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate and maintain machines, spray guns, and other equipment used.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Quality Control: Maintain high standards of precision and quality in every job, ensuring lines are clear and aligned with expectations.
- Customer Interaction: Communicate with clients when needed and address any concerns or questions.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure longevity and proper performance.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in line striping, road marking, or related field is a must.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, stand for extended periods, and lift heavy equipment and materials.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on precision and accuracy on the job along with checking for schedule changes.
- License/Certification: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Safety Knowledge: Understanding safety practices and the ability to operate machinery in a safe manner.
- Communication Skills: Ability to follow instructions effectively.
- Dependability: Strong work ethic with a focus on reliability and delivering quality work.
- Driving: Ability to drive a range of trucks from an F150 to all non-CDL vehicles.
