Duties

• Install various roofing systems including metal roofing, single-ply membrane roofing, and traditional shingle roofs with accuracy and efficiency
• Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure precise installation
• Use hand tools and power tools safely to cut, shape, and secure roofing materials according to specifications
• Perform roof repairs and restoration work, addressing leaks or damage with skillful craftsmanship
• Adhere strictly to construction safety protocols, including the proper use of safety harnesses, ladders, and fall protection equipment
• Conduct heavy lifting of materials and equipment while maintaining proper lifting techniques to prevent injury
• Complete all necessary documentation related to project progress and safety compliance

Skills

• Extensive experience with roofing installation, repair, and maintenance across various materials such as metal roofing and single-ply membranes
• Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction plans
• Strong knowledge of construction safety regulations including the use of safety harnesses, ladder use, and OSHA standards
• Skilled in operating hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication machinery
• Background in related trades such as siding installation, stucco application, masonry work, carpentry (including trim carpentry), framing (metal stud framing), plumbing integration, tile laying, concrete forming, or remodeling projects
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining physical endurance for outdoor work environments
• Familiarity with construction site safety practices and adherence to all safety protocols during project execution
• Experience working from schematics or technical drawings for complex installations or restoration projects
• Handyman experience that includes caulking, welding, masonry work or other finishing trades is a plus
