Job Summary

Join our growing team as a Tower Technician - I, where you will play a vital role in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of telecommunication infrastructure. This full time entry-level position offers an exciting opportunity to develop technical skills in wireless technology, including 5G, 4G/LTE, and 3G networks. As a Tower Technician - I, you'll work outdoors at heights and in various field environments, ensuring the reliability and safety of critical communication networks. Schedule
Monday-Thursday, 0600 start in Riverside, MO. Maximum of 56 hours per week. Sites under 3 hour drive radius from Riverside will be considered local and driven to daily. Friday-Sunday will be regular days off; subject to make up for bad weather or for sites exceeding local radius. Sites considered out of town will have an AirBnB provided. There is no per diem offered at this time.
Duties
- Perform climbing operations on towers and other structures using appropriate safety gear and techniques to install, inspect, and repair telecommunication equipment.
- Conduct cabling tasks including fiber splicing, low voltage wiring, and high voltage connections to ensure optimal network performance.
- Assist with rigging tasks necessary for tower assembly or reinforcement projects.
- Engage in field service activities such as troubleshooting network issues across 3G, 4G/LTE, and 5G systems to restore service quickly.
- Manage cabling layouts within towers or shelters, ensuring proper routing and secure connections for reliable operation.
- Follow all safety protocols related to climbing, rigging, and electrical work to maintain a safe work environment.
Requirements
- Ability to climb towers or structures safely using appropriate climbing gear; previous experience is a plus but not required.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record, class E preferred; experience operating lifts or similar equipment is preferred.
- Basic understanding of telecommunication systems including fiber splicing, cabling, and low/high voltage electrical work is a plus but not required.
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions at heights exceeding standard ground level.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot network issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and reporting on job progress.
- Punctuality and consistent attendance. Sites will be paid a completion bonus for completed close out packages that are under the budgeted manhours for each site.
- Certifications or training in rigging, welding, or telecommunications are advantageous but not mandatory; on-the-job training will be provided.
