Role Summary
Black Box VR is hiring a Head of Growth & Sales to lead growth and sales for the company, starting with membership growth at our first location and helping us scale into additional gyms across the region.
This is a high-ownership startup role that spans strategy, action planning, and execution. We are looking for someone who can determine the right positioning, choose and test the right growth channels, create effective campaigns and content, strengthen conversion, and lead the in-gym and trailer sales effort.

What You’ll Do
- Own growth and sales performance for Black Box VR
- Refine market positioning, messaging, and offers
- Identify and test the right mix of channels, including digital, events, trailer activations, partnerships, referrals, media, and grassroots efforts
- Create rough, effective social/video content using AI tools where helpful
- Turn marketing into sales campaigns, scripts, promotions, and follow-up systems
- Lead and coach the in-gym and trailer sales team
- Improve the funnel from awareness to lead to booked visit to membership
- Use data and testing to guide decisions and resource allocation
- Build repeatable growth systems that can support future expansion

Reporting and Scope
This role reports to the CTO/Founders and leads the in-gym and trailer sales effort.
Compensation
Competitive base salary plus a meaningful performance-based bonus aligned with growth and sales results. Compensation will be calibrated based on demonstrated capability, track record, and overall fit for the role.

We care more about judgment, execution, learning speed, and proven results than a specific number of years of experience.
