BACKSERVER / SERVER'S ASSISTANT

black & blue has built its success on delivering inventive American cuisine, with a complete focus on gracious hospitality. We are looking for energetic and enthusiastic applicants to join our family of service professionals. The pay range listed is inclusive of estimated tips.

This position provides quick, efficient, and accurate food delivery to restaurant guests in a professional, friendly manner. Foodrunners may also assist the chef on outside expo, garnishing and traying all the food items while remaining organized and calm. It should be the goal for each Foodrunner to provide exceptional support to the Front and Back-of-House.

Each Foodrunner must prioritize the duties and responsibilities listed below:

-Deliver accurate, hot (if applicable) food, according to b&b's service standards, to restaurant guests in a timely manner
-Assist outside expo in garnishing and traying
-Act as a line of defense to ensure consistent food preparation and plating before it leaves the kitchen

Backservers at black & blue are responsible for providing support to the server through all points of service throughout the dining experience. They are directly responsible for the following duties:

- Greeting guests
- Bread and water service
- Clearing finished items
- Table refresh and appropriate course resets
- Table maintenance (refreshing bread, water, coffee)
- Full table clearing and reset upon guest departure
- Provide general assistance as needed

- Attend regular meetings for initial training and continuing education

Full and part-time positions are available with extremely flexible schedules that can work around another job or full-time school. The position requires a knowledge of food and beverage and an ability to execute fine dining service.

Posted Wage Range is based on Massachusett's Tipped Minimum Wage Tips.
