LINE COOK/BROILER COOK at black & blue Steak and Crab - Albany

black & blue steak and crab is conducting a search for an Experienced Line Cook. Culinary Degree preferred, not required.

Responsibilities Includes:
-Ensure all food items comply with portion size and quality standards
-Complete prep work before the start of dining service
-Properly wrap, store, date, and rotate perishable items
-Grill and plate meats, poultry and fish, along with appropriate garnish/accompaniments to black & blue's standards.
-Maintain proper inventory of line items needed for shift
-Make sure orders are complete and delivered to guests at the correct temperature
-Taste items to determine accuracy of preparation

Qualifications:
-Must have fine dining/high volume experience
-Basic skills in reading, speaking and listening
-Must be able to read and follow recipes
-Must be able to perform essential functions to black & blue's standard with reasonable accommodation(s)
-Must be able to prepare orders in a timely manner
