Black Bird Fire Protection is currently seeking to enhance its growing Fire Sprinkler Alarm Division and is actively recruiting a full time EXPERIENCED Fire Alarm Service Technician who is able to perform fire alarm inspections, testing, repairs, and troubleshooting of fire alarms. Candidates MUST have a minimum of 6 years' current experience with inspecting, testing, repairs, and troubleshooting FIRE ALARMS.
Our office/warehouse is located in Brea, California. Our service areas include Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino Counties.

Full time Monday - Friday with occasional emergencies on the weekend or after hours. Must be able to work 40 hours a week, with a possibility of some overtime.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Inspects, maintains, repairs, or replaces fire sprinkler equipment and systems in strict accordance with applicable codes and standards.
- Annual inspections, testing and certification of fire alarm systems in accordance with NFPA 72 regulations
- Must be able to perform maintenance and repairs
- Fire alarm repairs for commercial and industrial fire alarm systems
- Maintain good customer relationships
- Highly organized, motivated team player
- Ensures that each work detail is consistently completed with clean and quality workmanship
- Manual labor including lifting, climbing and clean up
- Flexible team player with the ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines
- Exhibits a professional image to the customer and general public in accordance with established company standards
- Good communication skills and teamwork are required
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License and must have clean driving record
- Ability to test and trouble shoot fire alarm systems
- Experience with commercial and industrial properties
- Ability to complete accurate and timely maintenance and work records
- Must be a self-starter and able to work independently
- Knowledge of safe work practices
- Fluent in reading, writing, speaking and understanding English
- Strong organizational skills, positive attitude and the ability to learn quickly
- Ability to use a computer and related software
- The employee may occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
- May be required to work alternative shifts or weekends to meet customer and/or job requirements
- Self-motivated work ethic
- Team player with excellent people skills
Experience & Education
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must have a minimum six (6) years of experience as a Fire Alarm Service Technician performing testing, repairs and troubleshooting of fire alarm systems.
