Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled carpenter to join our team. This role is essential in supporting various construction and renovation projects, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical skills and hands-on experience. We are not a crew for speed but a crew for diligence and quality, candidates must be able to handle tasks on their own, and work with the team. Managing their time efficiently, and sharing the workload fairly with the team.
Duties
- Assist with the fabrication and assembly of construction materials as per project specifications.
- Help plan order of operations when it comes to any given job.
- Installation of siding, trim, doors, windows. Basic carpentry skills.
- Perform plastering tasks to achieve smooth finishes on surfaces.
- Read and interpret blueprints to assist in project planning and execution.
- Engage in heavy lifting and moving of materials as required on job sites.
- Participate in mold remediation efforts, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Apply caulking to seal joints and gaps for improved insulation and aesthetics.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 100 pounds) consistently throughout the workday.
- Experience with mold remediation practices is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
- Willingness to learn new skills and techniques related to construction tasks.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
