Job Overview
Black Marlin Yacht Care is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Detailer to join our growing team. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for ensuring yachts and vessels are cleaned, polished, and maintained to the highest standards of excellence. Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning, washing, and detailing of yachts and boats, including exteriors, interiors, and brightwork.
- Conduct polishing, waxing, compounding, and ceramic coating applications to restore and protect vessel surfaces.
- Handle teak cleaning and restoration, stainless steel polishing, and canvas/vinyl care.
- Operate detailing equipment such as buffers, polishers, and pressure washers with expert care.
- Inspect vessels pre- and post-service to ensure all work meets Black Marlin Yacht Care standards.
- Provide outstanding customer service by addressing client needs, special requests, and feedback professionally.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and inventory of detailing equipment, materials, and vehicles.
Experience
- Prior experience in marine or automotive detailing is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Familiarity with high-end surface treatments like ceramic coatings and multi-stage polishing is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering flawless results.
- Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines and varying weather conditions.
- Positive attitude, professional appearance, and strong communication skills.
- Comfortable working around docks, marinas, and in outdoor environments.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
