Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive automotive diagnostics to identify issues accurately using schematics, diagnostic tools, and technical manuals.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and powertrain components.
- Execute diesel engine repairs and service, ensuring compliance with manufacturer standards and safety protocols.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive service equipment to complete repairs efficiently.
- Conduct ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibrations, alignments, and electrical system troubleshooting for modern vehicles.
- Interpret schematics and technical diagrams to diagnose complex mechanical or electrical problems.
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repair procedures clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process.
Requirements
- Proven dealership experience with a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance.
- Extensive mechanical knowledge of vehicles, including GM, Dodge, and Ford models and diesel engines.
- Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics, electrical systems, ADAS calibration, and powertrain repairs.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting purposes.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive repair tools safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of vehicle alignment procedures and auto body repair techniques is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude toward clients’ needs.
- Valid mechanic experience with relevant certifications; ASE certification is preferred but not required.
