The Black Latino Asian Artist Coalition (BLAAC) is seeking talented actors for Coffee Shop Blues, an intimate short film celebrating love, poetry, and community.
SEEKING:
KIONI (20s–30s, African American or Mixed Race Woman)
A gifted poet and storyteller with a vibrant imagination. Kioni is deeply creative but struggles with vulnerability and navigating romantic relationships. She's the definition of a tortured artist—passionate, thoughtful, and searching for connection.
JONAH (20s–30s, African American Man)
A construction worker whose calm spirit represents peace in the midst of chaos. Romantic, compassionate, and emotionally grounded, Jonah is devoted to Kioni and believes in the power of love and patience.
BACKGROUND ACTORS (18 ; All Ethnicities Encouraged to Apply)
Seeking performers to portray friends, family members, coffee shop employees, and patrons.
COMPENSATION
- Kioni & Jonah: Paid. BLAAC will provide housing, per diem, and transportation for selected out-of-town principal actors.
- Background Actors: Paid hourly.
