Job description

BK Resources, a provider of commercial restaurant equipment, plumbing hardware & accessories, is accepting applications for a full-time International Purchaser. This individual reports to the President.

Position Overview

Responsible for monitoring activity of all imported products, while developing and implementing appropriate plans to maintain inventory levels and quality standards consistent with company & customer needs. Develop and maintain steady, stable communication with suppliers. Ensure proper communication with co-workers

Duties and Responsibilities

· Review, identify & react to material requirements

· Place purchase orders

· Negotiate pricing

· Negotiate and apply resolutions when needed

· Communicate with multiple international suppliers

· Expedite products and update delivery schedules accordingly

· Validate and distribute import documentation

· Track regulations and maintain compliance

· Maintain & verify product records and databases

· Track vendor performance

· Work with assigned agents to properly classify products

· Assist in development of new products

· Identify methods to improve efficiency and/or provide savings

· Carry out new initiatives as directed by the President

Minimum Qualifications

· High School Diploma or Equivalent (some college preferred)

· Proficient knowledge of MS Office applications- Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook

· Reads and understands drawings

· Familiarity with metal fabrication & HTS codes are a plus

· Ability to develop and implement a strategic procurement vision that aligns with BK Resources, Inc long-term goals.

· Strong decision-making skills to evaluate options and choose the best course of action for the organization.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
