Responsibilities:
- Assist in installing, inspecting, testing and maintaining fire sprinkler systems according to safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Support senior technicians in performing system repairs and upgrades efficiently and accurately.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues or system malfunctions before they escalate.
- Maintain detailed documentation of all work performed, including test results, repairs, and system modifications.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and team members.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and uphold quality standards.
- Junior mechanics must be willing to test and obtain their Nassau County COF Type II, NYC S12 & S13 within six (6) months of hire
Experience:
- Minimum two (2) years Fire Sprinkler/Plumbing experience
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn on the job is essential
- Strong problem-solving skills with an eye for attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to follow technical instructions and safety guidelines diligently
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with a team environment
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces
- OSHA 30 with SST or OSHA 40 is a plus
