What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fire Sprinkler Inspector position at BK Fire Suppression & Security Systems?
BK Fire Suppression & Security Systems is seeking a full-time Fire Sprinkler Inspector to conduct inspections in the 5 boroughs, Nassau County & Suffolk County. Applicants must have experience conducting fire sprinkler inspections ofvarious types of systems and knowledge of each type (wet, dry, etc). Installation/repair experience is beneficial to job requirements, as well as knowledge and understanding of the NFPA-25 standard. This is NOT an entry-level position.
Inspectors must have, or be willing to obtain within three months of employment: Nassau County Certificate of Fitness Type II, NYC S12 & S13.
A VALID & CLEAN NYS Driver's License is required for all field-based positions.
Salary is determined based on knowledge of the trade.
Duties:
- Inspect fire sprinkler systems in commercial and residential buildings
- Complete write-ups and generate reporting on any deficiencies
- Perform routine testing of fire sprinkler systems to ensure proper operating condition
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a fire sprinkler inspector
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate inspection of fire sprinkler systems
- Effective communication skills
