Responsibilities
- Implement individualized ABA therapy plans tailored to the client’s needs, focusing on skill acquisition and behavior management
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, hygiene, and other self-care routines
- Collect and analyze behavioral data accurately to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments
- Maintain detailed medical documentation, care plans, and behavioral records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Communicate effectively with clients’ families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure consistency and progress toward goals
- Conduct direct behavioral therapy sessions in the client’s home environment, utilizing evidence-based techniques
- Support clients in developing social, communication, and functional skills aligned with their developmental level
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children or adolescents with autism or other neurodevelopmental disorders in a clinical or home setting
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management strategies, and implementation of ABA therapy protocols
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance standards
- Strong skills in data collection, documentation, and analyzing behavioral data to track client progress
- Ability to assist with ADLs and implement behavior support plans effectively
- Prior experience working within special education or school environments is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction, team collaboration, and family engagement
