What are the responsibilities and job description for the Video Designer position at BJU Press?
POSITION SUMMARY: As a Video Designer you will play a supporting role by working alongside creative teams to brainstorm and produce a variety of educational video series including but not limited to creating title openers, on-screen graphics, and other visual elements before putting designs to motion.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with all video segment members
- Create detailed design themes for educational video series
- Create openers, illustrations, and other visuals to be used in short, educational videos
- Produce and exporting motion graphics files to allow other production personnel to insert into digital content
- Organize motion graphics files on the network to be accessible team members and quality control
- Meet deadlines
- Stay current in the world of graphic design and motion graphics as well as video production
- Assist Video Design Supervisor with special tasks or projects as needed
- Fulfill acting roles as interest, workloads, casting fit, and opportunity align
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Proficient in graphic design or motion graphics
- Able to learn new computer skills
- Experienced with Adobe Creative Cloud Apps
- Excellent communication, both written and verbal
- Ability to work well with others in a creative environment
- Self-motivated in developing creative ideas and meeting deadlines
- Basic understanding of BJU Press educational philosophy
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in graphic design or motion graphics
- No prior experience necessary
