What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Maintenance Assistant for Women's Residence Halls (Student) position at BJU, Inc.?
POSITION SUMMARY: General maintenance and repairs in women's residence halls. Two-hour blocks needed for this position.
*Bob Jones University or Bob Jones Academy students only*
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Replace lights and light bulbs
- Unplug drains and commodes
- Repair drawers
- Repair doors and walls
- Fix blinds
- Replace ventilation system filters
- Repair windows
- Replace ceiling tiles
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Must be enrolled as a student at Bob Jones University or Academy
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Basic knowledge of hand tools
- Understanding of general maintenance terms
- Ability to learn new skills
- Must (occasionally) lift/carry up to 100 lbs. and push/pull up to 25 lbs.
