Location: DCA Building, 101 S. Broad St., Trenton, NJ
Work Hours: Maximum 35 hours per week
Lunch: 1 hour (unpaid)
Work Arrangement: On-site (Office)
Dress Code: Business Casual

Job Summary

BJE Professional Services is seeking a qualified Administrative Assistant 1 to join our team at the Department of Community Affairs in Trenton, NJ. The ideal candidate will assist with processing builder registration applications and provide administrative support to ensure smooth operations. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under supervision in a professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with processing builder registration applications.
  • Review documentation for completeness and accuracy.
  • Maintain organized records and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Communicate with internal teams to resolve application issues.
  • Provide general administrative support as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret application requirements accurately.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in administrative support or similar roles.
  • Familiarity with builder registration processes or compliance requirements.

Pay: $16.16 per hour
