Barnes Jewish West County Hospital is a new state of the art facility that opened for patient care in November 2019. We are looking for Registered Nurses that can become part of a learning and growing team.
Position Highlights

- Days (4) 10 hour shifts - 0630-1700
- No Holidays No Weekends
- Call Required
- 2 plus years of experience as an RN required
- OR experience preferred

The OR nurse is responsible for providing direct patient care in a surgical setting ensuring a safe and sterile environment, collaborating with the surgical team to deliver high quality outcomes. Serve as a clinical resource for nursing staff offering guidance on complex cases. Provide leadership, mentorship and support to nursing staff. The ideal candidate will have exceptional leadership skills, advanced clinical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment.

Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital offers highly specialized surgical and medical services in an intimate environment and is known for outstanding patient care. With 64 private patient rooms, 14 operating rooms and four intensive care unit rooms, the facility was designed to provide a comforting environment that is innovative, efficient and centered on the patient experience. The campus features a park-like setting with landscaping and a walking path that winds through the grounds and connects to Millennium Park.

Role Purpose
Under the direction of manager, plans, directs, and coordinates activities of a unit on a designated shift. Performs direct patient care as needed and functions as clinical resource to nursing and support staff. Assesses, plans, evaluates and documents the nursing process of assigned unit as needed.
