Do you have a good eye for details? Are you passionate for Health-care and patient safety? Our Sterile Processing Team wants to add a Sterile Processing Tech to their close knit team. Our ideal candidate will be friendly and have a strong teamwork ethic. Someone who is able to learn quickly and serious about producing 100% accurate sterile trays for the OR. Previous medical experience is highly preferred.
- 1300-2000 M-F
- Weekend rotation about every 6-7 weeks
- One Holiday a year
- One day of call a week (must be answered within 45 min)
Overview
Since 1937, Alton Memorial Hospital has cared for residents in Alton, Illinois, and the surrounding communities in a five-county area. Starting as a land gift to the community from the Smith family, Alton Memorial today is a full-service acute care hospital. Alton Memorial offers patients a variety of inpatient and outpatient services, including surgery services, medical imaging, interventional and diagnostic heart services, cancer care, rehabilitation, 24-hour emergency care, ambulance services and more.
Central Sterile Processing Dept is charged with decontaminating and Sterilizing of all instrumentation for the Operating Room and Obstetrics. They prepare case carts by pulling the sterile supplies that are housed in the dept. Stock misc. sterile supplies for Wound Care and Skin Nurse.
Preferred Qualifications
Role Purpose
Function as a team member in the operating room to support medical and nursing staff during the pre, intra, and post-operative phase, including preparing equipment and supplies for use by the medical team, cleaning and sterilizing equipment and reusable supplies, assembling case carts/trays and performing direct patient care as needed.
