Scheduler - Surgery

• Monday - Friday 7-3:30 pm 
• No weekend or Holidays 
• Duties: Scheduling for the OR, answering phones, working with in EPIC and working closely with the Charge nurse on scheduling. 
• Preferred qualities: EPIC and Patient Scheduling

Alton Memorial offers patients a variety of inpatient and outpatient services, including surgery services, medical imaging, interventional and diagnostic heart services, cancer care, rehabilitation, 24-hour emergency care, ambulance services and more.

The Operating Room is made up of 7 General rooms, one Cysto room, and one Minor procedure room.  Staffed from 0700 till 1700 Monday-Friday with all other hours and days covered with a Call Crew.

Role Purpose

Responsible for coordinating and posting procedures to the operating room schedule including registration of patients and clinical data entry. Responsible for the daily surgery schedule. Responsible for logging cases and patient charges relevant to the OR. Answers phones and directs calls appropriately.
