BJC HealthCare System is seeking a Full-Time Proton Therapy Supervisor (Radiation Oncology) for our Center for Advanced Medicine (CAM) building on the Barnes Jewish Hospital campus.
Position Details:
- Day Shift : Monday-Friday (8 hours/day)
- Conduct department staff scheduling, meetings, rounding, and daily workflow coordination, Monitor day to day budget, daily reports to manager
- Machine coverage (if needed)
Experience:
- Radiation therapy experience (heavily preferred)
- If you have experience in one of the following areas, you could be a good fit: Proton RTT Lead, Oncology Proton Therapy, Proton Therapy Clinical Coordinator, Lead Radiation Therapist, Proton Center Supervisor
Requirements:
- Associate's Degree or Trade School equivalency (or higher level of education) - Bachelors or Master’s degree is a plus in Radiologic Technology, Radiation Therapy, or related field
- Certification as a Registered Radiation Therapy Technologist ( R.T.(T)
- Radiation Oncology Program
- 2 years of experience

Overview
Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center is the largest hospital in Missouri and is ranked as one of the nation's top hospitals by U.S. News & World Report. The Radiation Oncology Department houses a variety of therapeutic equipment, including 8 linear accelerators; a full Brachytherapy suite; a Gamma Knife center; two CT simulators and a dedicated MRI unit.¿ Radiation Oncology is also building a proton facility due to open in January 2010.¿ The department supports two radiation therapy technology programs and a medical dosimeter programs via affiliations with local universities.

Role Purpose
Supervises and provides patient care essential to radiation therapy procedures and renders services utilizing various imaging and therapeutic modalities. Supervises and performs treatment, simulation, radiographic and other related imaging and therapeutic procedures, as directed by a physician.
