Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital has a PRN opening for a Physical Activity Tech. Our techs work alongside Physical Therapist and other clinicians - stocking equipment, providing assistance to PT/OT/SLP as needed, cleaning equipment, setting up patient rooms, notifying patients of the times they will be seen by therapy, additional as needed tasks. A great opportunity for someone interested in Rehab Therapy Services.
PRN Monday - Friday, with preferred Monday availability
Overview
Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital offers highly specialized surgical and medical services in an intimate environment and is known for outstanding patient care. With 64 private patient rooms, 14 operating rooms and four intensive care unit rooms, the facility was designed to provide a comforting environment that is innovative, efficient and centered on the patient experience. The campus features a park-like setting with landscaping and a walking path that winds through the grounds and connects to Millennium Park.
The inpatient physical therapy department of BJWCH provides rehabilitation services to patients within an acute care environment. Our staff of experienced, efficient physical therapists and assistants communicate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers and work closely with patients to develop safe, personalized rehabilitation programs that aid the patient in improving mobility and returning to daily functional activities.
Preferred Qualifications
Role Purpose
Provides routine, non skilled patient treatments as prescribed by the physician and directed by the licensed therapist or therapist assistant. Assists in maintaining inventory of supplies, forms and organizing the clinical environment for safe and effective patient care.
