We are seeking a dedicated and experienced NP to join our fast paced orthopedic surgery team. This role focuses on elective surgery patients, providing pre-post operative care and patient education. The NP will collaborate with surgeons, nurses and other healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes; educate patients on surgical procedures, recovery expectations and rehabilitation plans. The ideal candidate will have experience in orthopedic surgery, strong ability to work in a fast paced environment and maintain excellent communication and patient education skills.

Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital offers highly specialized surgical and medical services in an intimate environment and is known for outstanding patient care. With 64 private patient rooms, 14 operating rooms and four intensive care unit rooms, the facility was designed to provide a comforting environment that is innovative, efficient and centered on the patient experience. The campus features a park-like setting with landscaping and a walking path that winds through the grounds and connects to Millennium Park.

The Nurse Practitioner is an advanced practice nurse who utilizes a high degree of knowledge, skill and competence in a specialized patient care area. This position assesses, diagnose, prescribes, initiates plan of care and evaluates outcomes within the scope of a formal collaborative practice agreement with physician(s).
