- Job Description:
- Laboratory Customer Service servces the critical role of handling all phone calls coming into the dept of laboratores; investigating, resolving, and helping our clients (including our internal departments) so that we may deliver excellent care to our patients. This allows our technologists team-members to concentrate on laboratory testing. Every caller is our customer and the Laboratory Customer Service respresentative's goal is to successfully assist each caller no matter what their need may be.
- Job Duties:
- Calling critical lab results
- Clearing pending logs
- Call unacceptable outpatient batteries
- Place specimen pick up orders for clients
- Enter client supply orders
- Fax reports

Preferred Qualifications
Role Purpose
Performs specimen processing and routine / complex testing on blood and other specimens which requires a knowledge and understanding of quality control, basic instrument maintenance, and procedure methodologies and reference ranges. Maintains appropriate documentation of all activities as required. Demonstrates good laboratory practice May also coordinate the activities of the lab.
