- Work hours will be 6:00 pm-6:30 am.
- Every other weekend required
- Performing public safety and security duties inside and outside the hospital.
- Functions as a department resource trainer and conducts training necessary for officers to maintain mandated certification and licensing
- Transfer policy includes: must have been in current role at least 90 days and in good standing to be eligible to transfer within BJC Health System.

Overview
Missouri Baptist Medical Center, an acute care hospital in St. Louis County, offers a full continuum of medical and surgical services, including heart care, cancer, women and infants, breast health, gastrointestinal, orthopedic, stroke, therapy, wound and pain management services. The hospital has a 24-hour adult emergency department and cares for pediatric patients at a separate emergency department in collaboration with St. Louis Children’s Hospital.

The Facilities Services Department provides security, telecommunications, housekeeping, maintenance and engineering services for the campus. The various departments work in partnership to ensure the campus, including all of its buildings, parking lots/garages, patient care and common areas are well maintained, clean, attractive, and secure.

Role Purpose
Responsibilities include continuous patrols of the medical center, while being attentive and alert to the safety and welfare of visitors, patients, employees and hospital property. Other responsibilities include the implementation of staff education and professional development programs that ensure officer maintain required certifications. Acts in the role of a department trainer for last two phases of new hire training and for re-certification training for existing officers.
