- Will consider MLT Registered
- Hours: 7:00am - 3:30pm; Hours can vary between 0600 to 1700
- Schedule: Monday thru Friday. NO WEEKENDS OR HOLIDAYS
Position includes infrequent rotation between different Siteman Cancer Center laboratories (GCW downtown, South County and West County). GCW downtown location is considered the “home base” when not providing off-site tech coverage. Departments include Chemistry, Hematology, and Urinalysis, depending on location. No blood bank testing.”
- Duties:
- Perform chemistry, hematology, & urinalysis testing.
- Process specimens for testing and/or delivery to main laboratories.
- As needed, perform specimen collection, including phlebotomy.
- Serve as a point of reference for and support clinical staff.

Role Purpose
The Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) II performs specimen processing and routine / complex testing on blood and other specimens which requires a knowledge and understanding of quality control, basic instrument maintenance, and procedure methodologies and reference ranges. Maintains appropriate documentation of all activities as required. Demonstrates good clinical laboratory practice
