BJC HealthCare System is hiring a Full-Time Lab Technical Coordinator for Laboratory-Point Of Care located at Missouri Baptist Medical Center (MBMC) – St. Louis, MO
Position Details:
- Day Shift: Monday – Friday (8:00am-4:30pm)
- NO Weekends or Holidays!
- Full-Time (40 hours per week) – nonremote
- Responsibilities: review & audit point of care testing & quality control, inventory & instrument management, regulatory oversight of dept, work closely with hospital departments & staff, and critical thinking & problem solving
- Lab Equipment: Cerner Millennium (LIS), Epic, Instrument Manager, Sysmex WAM, Cellavision, Biorad Unity, Wellsky, Roche, Ortho-Visions
- MLS (ASCP) certification
Experience:
- At least 2 years of laboratory experience (preferred)
- Experience in a Lab Coordinator position (preferred)
- If you have experience in one of the following areas, you could be a good fit: Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) and Medical Technologist (MT), Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS),.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Physical/Life Sciences or related field
- MT/MLS - ASCP or equivalent Certification
- 2 years of more experience

Role Purpose
Coordinates the technical activities of the department (inventory management, R&D, technical procedures and Policies, CAP readiness, etc.). Also performs testing and processing of routine and complex testing on blood and other specimens as well as acts as a resource person to staff.
