What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lab Associate II - Core Lab position at BJC HealthCare?
This position supports the largest laboratory in the BJC system. The Core Lab processes high volumes of specimens from one of the most complex patient populations in the region.
**This is NOT a phlebotomy position. This is a specimen processing position**
Schedule
- Full-Time | 40 hours per week
- M-F, rotating weekends & holidays
- 7am-330pm

Key Responsibilities
- Receive, label, and process incoming specimens
- Route specimens to appropriate testing departments (Chemistry/Hematology)
- Identify and resolve specimen discrepancies
- Maintain accurate electronic documentation
- Support turnaround time goals in a high-volume environment

Perform specimen collection, specimen handling and clerical duties. Experienced in phlebotomy and proficient in performing additional tasks such as central processing duties, in-office phlebotomy, or inventory management.
