BJC Home Care is looking to hire a Full Time Intake Coordinator
Shift Schedule:
- Monday-Friday 8-4:430
- Monthly weekend rotation Saturday and Sunday w/ Day time hours
- Rotating holidays
- this Individual will be in the office for the first 90 days until they meet productivity
- Flexibility to come on-site whenever
- This individual will be working with the Benefits Tea
- obtaining that initial Prior Authorization
- Handling out going calls their team and outgoing calls they will handle
Overview
BJC Home Care offers patients and their families a complete range of home care services, including skilled nursing services, adult and pediatric hospice and supportive care, rehabilitation therapy, home infusion therapy, infusion treatment rooms, home medical equipment and high-tech respiratory care. Specialty home care programs also are available, including adult and pediatric asthma, cardiac, diabetes, orthopedic and wound care programs.
BJC Home Care provides care to thousands of patients in both Missouri and Illinois. Serving more than 25 counties, it has become the largest home care network in the region and one of the largest in the country.
The Central Referral Center (CRC) for BJC Home Care Services is where the patient referral process starts. There are Intake Coordinators in each BJC hospital who coordinate services for those patients that need home care. The patients who choose BJC Home Care Services are then channeled through the CRC. The CRC also consists of nurses who take physician office referrals for patients not currently hospitalized. There is someone on-call 24/7 for the CRC to facilitate home care coordination for patients in emergency rooms, etc.

Role Purpose
The Intake Coordinator (non-clinical) is responsible for coordinating patient services during the home care intake process. This position manages all requests received via multiple work queues, monitoring potential patient admission dates and determining their eligibility for services. This position works with internal and external customers (patients, physician/referral sources, case managers, etc.) to ensure an outstanding customer experience. The Intake Coordinator – HCS also collaborates with management and various team members to meet the CREST (compassion, respect, excellence, safety, teamwork) values and vision of BJC.
