Corporate & Foundation Relations Officer

The Foundation for Barnes-Jewish Hospital is growing their institutional giving team and has an opportunity for a Corporate & Foundation Relations Officer. This role is responsible for developing and sustaining a vibrant portfolio of funder relationships driven by outstanding grant writing, cause marketing, special events and other corporate partnership activities. The ideal candidate will be energetic, ambitious, goal-oriented and creative, with a successful track record for building strong and productive relationships across corporate and foundation constituencies. This is a flexible work opportunity, must reside in the Greater St. Louis area. 

Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center is the largest hospital in Missouri and is ranked as one of the nation's top hospitals by U.S. News & World Report. Role Purpose

Responsible for cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major corporations, foundations and, when applicable, state and government grants.

Responsibilities

• Cultivates, solicits, and stewards major corporations, foundations and state and government grants.
• Serves as primary development liaison with key staff members at corporations and foundations and direct volunteer efforts to acquire resources.
• Develops proposals for funding of new and existing projects and programs for foundation and corporations which exhibit funding interest.
• Ensures proper acknowledgment, stewardship and maintenance of all assigned prospects.
