What are the responsibilities and job description for the Collaborative Care - QMHP Intake Specialist position at BJC HealthCare?
- Up to a $2300 Sign on Bonus
- Shift information: Day Shift M - F (8-hour days, no weekends, no holidays) - (work hours will be either 8 am - 4:30 pm or 9 am-5 pm)
- Must have either an RN, LPC or LCSW (NO PROVISIONALLY LICENSED at this time) - must be licensed in both STL and Illinois
- ONLY RN's with experience working with mental health clients can be considered for this position
- Hybrid role – (two days remote and 3 days in the facility). This position will be a mobile role where you will travel to various BJC Facilities as needed.
- Location: Barnes Jewish West County Medical Center.
- Job responsibilities: In this role you will provide short brief therapy AKA SBIRT for patients that are having mild to moderate mental health needs - you must be able to build a treatment plan, have a strong ability to communicate with families, patients, psychiatrists, work on a treatment team and be skilled in diagnosing.
Overview
BJC Behavioral Health is a community health center that provides and coordinates behavioral health services for more than 8,000 seriously mentally ill adults and seriously emotionally disturbed children in St. Louis City, St. Louis County, St. François, Iron and Washington counties. As an Administrative Agent of the Missouri Department of Mental Health (DMH), BJC Behavioral Health serves as a major point of entry for people eligible for mental health services funded by DMH and is responsible for serving as gatekeeper to the public mental health system.

Role Purpose
The Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) provides comprehensive evaluation and education services to mental health and chemically dependent patients. This position is part of a multi-disciplinary team that will work with multiple health services organizations (HSOs) to address the needs of the patient. This position provides in-person services, as well as via teleheatlh.
