- Shift information: Day Shift M - F (8-hour days, no weekends, no holidays) - (Hours will be either 8-4:30pm or 9-5pm)
- Ideal Skill Set: detail oriented, able to multitask well, communication skills, familiarity with technology/Microsoft 365 Office
- Job responsibilities: In this role you need to have the capability of scheduling, working a list, phone communication, learning an EHR, capability and knowledge of mental health resources in addition to social determinants of health resources. Must also be able to schedule clients with community resources.
Overview
BJC Behavioral Health is a community health center that provides and coordinates behavioral health services for more than 8,000 seriously mentally ill adults and seriously emotionally disturbed children in St. Louis City, St. Louis County, St. François, Iron and Washington counties. As an Administrative Agent of the Missouri Department of Mental Health (DMH), BJC Behavioral Health serves as a major point of entry for people eligible for mental health services funded by DMH and is responsible for serving as gatekeeper to the public mental health system.

The Behavioral Health Navigator is responsible for coordinating services for mental health patients. This position facilitates the linkage of the patient to a qualified mental health professional, who will evaluate and determine the needs of the patient. This position also assists patients and families to identify the various resources and services available in the local community.
