- Adult Acute Care NP Licensure or Adult-Gerontology Acute Care NP Licensure Strongly Preferred

The Cardiac PCU or Cardiac Rapid Evaluation Unit (CREU) APP role needed in hospital based, high-risk cardiology caring for general and specialized cardiology patient populations including electrophysiology, congenital, structural heart disease and end-stage congestive heart failure (including cardiac transplant and LVAD).

Role Purpose
The nurse practitioner functions within their scope of practice as a healthcare provider, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team to provide comprehensive care to patients and families across practice settings. They demonstrate a high degree of clinical expertise in working with patients with acute and chronic illnesses commonly encountered within the inpatient setting. The nurse practitioner demonstrates an advanced level of clinical knowledge, communication, interdisciplinary collaboration, professionalism, and systems-based practice. They work with administration staff, nurses, physicians, medical/surgical trainees, and other staff to assure safe, effective, quality patient care.Minimum Board Certification(s):BJH: Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP), Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP), or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP- with appropriate experience)Preferred Board Certification(s): BJH: Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP)
