Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a smooth flow of service
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, ensuring all special requests are noted
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling, cashiering, and processing payments through POS systems like OpenTable or similar platforms
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations about menu items, ingredients, and wine pairings to elevate the guest experience
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs or upscale restaurants
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and handle guest relations professionally
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy service hours
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining genuine guest engagement
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with food preparation or kitchen operations is a plus for better understanding of the food industry dynamics
