Job Summary
We are seeking an Irrigation Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of our Irrigation Department. In this role, you will be responsible for managing irrigation clients, system installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair projects to ensure optimal water efficiency and landscape health. Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and installation of new irrigation systems, ensuring adherence to project specifications and industry standards.
- Oversee ongoing irrigation maintenance, including system inspections, repairs, and troubleshooting to prevent malfunctions and optimize performance.
- Manage irrigation system repair projects by diagnosing issues with electrical components, mechanical parts, or automated controls using advanced diagnostics tools.
- Coordinate with landscaping teams to integrate irrigation solutions seamlessly into landscape designs and ensure healthy turf and plant growth.
- Conduct soil science assessments and evaluate soil conditions to tailor irrigation schedules that promote sustainable water use.
- Supervise the operation of excavation equipment such as excavators for trenching or installation purposes while ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Utilize knowledge of automated irrigation control systems to program schedules, troubleshoot system faults, and optimize watering cycles for different landscapes.
- Maintain detailed records of all irrigation activities, system upgrades, repairs, and inspections for compliance and future reference.
- Provide exceptional customer service to a client base by communicating effectively
Experience
- Proven experience in irrigation management with a strong background in installing and maintaining various irrigation systems.
- Mechanical knowledge related to irrigation equipment, electrical diagnostics, system troubleshooting, and repair projects.
- Hands-on experience with new irrigation system installation projects from planning through execution.
- Familiarity with landscaping practices, lawn care techniques, horticulture principles, and landscape maintenance strategies.
- Construction experience involving excavation work using excavators or other power tools is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of soil science principles relevant to efficient water application and plant health optimization.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and automated control systems confidently while adhering to safety standards.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients at various levels of understanding.
