In this vital role, you will provide non-medical personalized care to individuals across various settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, group homes, and home health environments.
Join our dedicated team as a Caregiver and/or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Your efforts will promote independence, safety, and well-being while ensuring each resident or patient receives the highest quality of care. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to work closely with diverse populations, including seniors, individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, and those requiring hospice or memory care. Your proactive approach and genuine empathy will help create a supportive environment where residents feel valued and cared for.
Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and personal hygiene with utmost dignity.
- Companionship: Engage clients in conversation, reading, games, and meaningful social interaction to prevent isolation.
- Meal Preparation: Cook and serve nutritious, customized meals according to dietary preferences or restrictions.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized environment by handling laundry, washing dishes, vacuuming, and taking out trash.
- Mobility Assistance: Help clients safely transfer from bed to chair, assist with walking, and guide them through light physical therapy exercises.
- Medication Reminders: Ensure clients take their prescribed medications on time.
- Errands & Transportation: Accompany or drive clients to grocery shopping, pharmacy pickups, or medical appointments.
- Health Monitoring: Track changes in physical or cognitive health and report concerns to management or family members.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Prior experience in caregiving, home health, or a similar role is highly preferred.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable personal vehicle, and active auto insurance.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain it).
- Strong communication skills, patience, and a genuinely empathetic personality.
- Physical ability to lift up to 25–50 lbs and assist clients with physical movement.
