Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks across over-the-road (OTR) routes, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of materials.
- Load and unload materials accurately and efficiently.
- Navigate using GPS systems to follow designated routes, optimize delivery schedules, and meet project deadlines.
- Comply with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), hazardous materials regulations, and other safety standards during all operations.
- Transport freight such as construction materials, freight containers, or specialized loads like flatbed or tanker shipments across long distances.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of trucks, including checking refrigeration units if applicable, brakes, lights, tires, and load securement devices.
- Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, cargo details, route information, and delivery documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record; experience with dump trucks preferred.
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, delivery driving, or freight transportation.
- Knowledge of truck loading/unloading procedures and logistics cargo handling techniques.
- Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbed trucks, tankers, and hazardous materials regulations (Hazmat).
- Ability to operate vehicles confidently on route driving assignments.
- Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, and safety protocols related to dangerous goods and hazardous materials.
- Excellent manual handling skills for load & unload activities; physically capable of lifting heavy items when necessary.
- Experience with GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time tracking.

Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour
