JOB PURPOSEThis job is responsible for performing multi-functional assembly functions in product development setting, assisting engineers and production staff in designing, modifying, and testing products and processes. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Include but are not limited to:Build product subassemblies or final assembliesFabricate and assemble structural and functional components using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipmentBuild electronic devices based on reading schematicsProvide hands on support to the EngineersObtain general understanding of all products and applications related to company offered products/servicesLearn to identify and correct or advise, on technical/operational issuesSet up and operate production equipment in accordance with current good manufacturing practices and standard operating proceduresAssist engineers in building prototypes or new productsMaintain inventory of job materialsPackage finished productsSet up and verify the functionality of safety equipmentStart up and shut down production equipmentAdhere to all applicable quality and work proceduresClean production equipment and/or work areasInstall new equipmentSeparate scrap or waste materials for recycling, reuse, or environmentally sound disposalCollect hazardous or non-hazardous waste in correctly labeled barrels or other containers and transfer them to collection areasFabricate and assemble parts to create finished products according to specificationsUse hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete assembly tasksFollow detailed instructions and blueprints to ensure accurate assemblyInspect finished products for quality and ensure they meet company standardsMaintain a clean and organized work area The Ideal candidate will possess the following skills:Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per weekAble to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlinesSelf-motivated, detail-oriented and organizedBasic experience with mechanical and electrical systemsPrevious experience in assembly or a related field preferredAbility to use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment effectivelyForklift certification is a plusStrong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skillsAbility to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawingsExcellent attention to detail and manual dexterityAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlinesBasic computer skills for data entry and inventory managementExperience working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is preferredQualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
